Fresh Dirt Marketing, LLC (FDM) is a boutique marketing consulting firm in Nashville, Tenn., created to serve small businesses and entrepreneurs seeking strategic marketing direction and marketing implementation services.

It is the philosophy of Fresh Dirt Marketing to ‘dig in‘ to our clients’ businesses and help them plan growth in their targeted markets. We view marketing as the act or process an organization may employ to attract and retain customers and grow relationships. It is used to create brand awareness, communicate messages and promote goods and services to targeted businesses, organizations or groups of individuals.

What makes us different

  • We help our clients make every marketing decision based on strategy.
  • We don’t work on retainer unless a client prefers it that way. We get paid
for what we do without the fluff.
  • We’re client-focused and specialize in making the most of modest budgets.
  • We have developed a niche in using grassroots and nontraditional marketing tactics with a traditional marketing mix and combine them for the best result.
  • Our staff members come from diverse professional backgrounds and bring valuable insight to every client we serve.
90% of our clients found us through existing clients. If they recommend us,
    that says something.
  • We do this because we love it.

Holly Rooks Grenvicz
Principal & Marketing Strategist

holly@freshdirtmarketing.com

Holly founded Fresh Dirt Marketing LLC in 2007 to pursue her passion of serving Nashville‘s small business community by offering comprehensive strategic marketing services. Holly brings more than a decade of marketing, public relations and media experience to her clients.

Prior to opening FDM, Holly spent seven years in marketing management for First Tennessee (First Horizon National Corporation). She began working for First Tennessee in Chattanooga , where she was named Vice President of the 35-location region after working for the company for only 18 months. As the youngest Vice President in regional history, Holly provided a new marketing approach for the bank by bringing a “customer’s perspective” to her work.

In 2003, after an eight-month hiatus working for a crisis communications firm, First Tennessee invited Holly to rejoin the company to serve as part of a Middle Tennessee expansion initiative task force in Nashville. This team opened 20 financial centers in 40 months; something unprecedented in First Tennessee’s history, and unmatched by any other financial services company. The youngest member of the expansion team, Holly developed marketing strategies and executed the plans for the grand openings of all 20 locations. In this role, Holly also developed a checking acquisition campaign which resulted in 1,500 new checking accounts for Middle Tennessee in one quarter. The campaign is now used across the corporation and is responsible for more than 10,000 new primary households and $11 million in revenue annually. Through this success, Holly was given the 2004 Annual “FirstPower Award.” This honor is awarded to one individual or team selected from First Tennessee / First Horizon’s 14,000 employees.

Holly earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City , Tenn. She also holds the designation of Certified Financial Marketing Professional from the Institute of Certified Bankers and has attended the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management. Holly resides in Nashville with her husband Joe and their daughter Lyla.

Jenn, a Massachusetts native, brings more than ten years of marketing, advertising, branding and graphics experience to the Fresh Dirt team. Prior to joining FDM, Jenn spent three years in marketing at the home office for CGU Life (Aviva) where she took part in an international merger and rebranding effort. This was followed by seven years in marketing as Art Director for the Nashville Predators Hockey Club. While with the Predators, she built a full service in-house art department that featured a design team who serviced the brand strategy and graphics needs of the Predators organization, Sommet Center and Nashville Predators Foundation. During her tenure, she played a vital role in bringing many award-winning marketing programs and campaigns to the
Predators organization.

Beginning in 2007 Jenn played a lead role in launching a collaborative, multimedia film and music project called The Nashville 9. She created and managed the project brand, collateral, marketing and PR efforts as well as coordinated event execution and promotion, sponsorship, fundraising and community relations efforts. Along with the project creators, Jenn engaged and managed a volunteer staff of over 100 collaborators. The result of the project is a newly-formed network of Nashvillians in the film and music industries (both indie and professional) that accomplished the task of creating a 9 song album and a 9 scene short film in consecutive 9 days. The results were presented to a packed house at the Belcourt Theatre in March 2009 and was recognized by multiple media outlets.

Jenn has also acted as Principal of BrownCow Creative for the past ten years, a freelance graphics and advertising company with clients across the U.S. Her training in visual communications, psychology, and special education combined with experience in corporate marketing environments, entertainment, professional sports, non-profits and small business yields a unique perspective to solving marketing, advertising and design dilemmas.
